The aim of the course is to acquaint students with structural and functional pathology. Attention is paid to disorders at the cellular, tissue and organ levels. Basic review of pathological anatomy related to orthopedic and general medicine from theoretical developmental, and phenomenological perspectives. Study of the fundamental principles of pathology and clinical medicine and their relation to physical therapy. An emphasis is placed on parts of pathological anatomy related to cardiopulmonary diseases, rheumatological, neurological diseases and infectious diseases.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:
- demonstrate knowledge of the fundamental importance of the field, especially for real life and clinical disciplines
- demonstrate knowledge of the pathological basis of the disease
- demonstrate knowledge of structural and functional pathology
- demonstrate a deeper knowledge of disorders at the cellular, tissue and organ levels
