Annotation -
The course introduces students to the teaching process of track and field events based on the basic primary school curriculum. Students acquire technique principles required for precise demonstration of all athletic events, and learn methods and forms improving athletic skills and motor abilities.

Aim of the course -

It is an obligatory course for the students of Fysiotherapy and Ortotik-protetik. Students are acquainted with basic athletic exercises. They wil acquire knowledge regarding the safety of athletics training, warm-up exercises and the prevention of injuries. The course includes basic technique and teaching methods of running, jumping and throwing disciplines. The students will learn the basic testing of explosive power and the training methods used for developing general endurance.

Safety of athletics training.

Warm-up exercises and the prevention of injuries.

Basics of technique of running, jumping and throwing disciplines. Tests of jumping and throwing explosive power. The training methods used for developing running endurance.
