Students will acquire knowledge about the complete structure of the human body (tissues, organs, organ systems) with a main focus to the musculoskeletal system and motion control. Some basic knowledge of sport injuries /and its prevention/ will be added.

The aim of the course is to provide students with a basic knowledge of the anatomy and kinesiology of the human body.

Basics of cytology, histology, osteology and myology

Muscles of the body segments and their function
Peripheral and central nervous system (spinal cord, cerebellum, spinal tracts, brain stem, sensory system, etc.)
Heart and vascular system
Respiratory system, including the mechanics of breathing
