Art history and art evolution from its proven beginnings to the modern age. Changes in forms and role of artwork during history. Basic aspects connected with the existence of artistic expression and artistic artefact in relation to the historical situation. Art development from the cave art and the "Venuses", the cultures of ancient civilizations and their culmination in Antiquity, to the development of medieval art and the beginnings of modern art in Renaissance and Baroque period. The aim of the course is to acquire awareness of the most distinct positions and manifestations of visual arts in the individual historical periods, the art and artist role, the role of ordering party and users in history.
