Annotation -
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of combat sports, to introduce students to the basic techniques of selected combat sports and the methodology of training basic techniques with an emphasis on their practical application in self-defense. Another goal is to introduce students to a basic overview and knowledge and practical skills in the field of combat sports. History of martial arts, mastering the basic techniques of combat sports with a focus on karate, kung fu and judo. The course will also include practical self-defense for women. The specifics of the course is the use of combat techniques in school physical education. The course ends with a practical demonstration of the techniques and knowledge of methodological procedures in their training.

Aim of the course -
  • Introduce students to the basic techniques and principles of selected grappling sports.
  • Teach students the methodology of practicing grappling techniques with a focus on their use in self-defense.
  • Provide students with practical skills and knowledge necessary for applying grappling sports in school physical education.
  • Prepare students for a practical didactic presentation that includes methodological procedures for practicing grappling techniques.

Learning outcomes -
  • Students will demonstrate the basic techniques of selected grappling sports, including their application in self-defense.
  • Students will explain and demonstrate methodological procedures for practicing basic grappling techniques for school physical education.
  • Students will evaluate various grappling techniques in terms of their safety and suitability for different age groups within school physical education.
  • Students will prepare and conduct a practical didactic presentation focused on practicing grappling techniques, utilizing the acquired methodological knowledge.
  • Students will apply grappling techniques in self-defense scenarios and analyze their effectiveness.
