Theory of education is one of the fundamental pedagogical disciplines dealing with the systematization and filing of sciences dealing with education, their aims, methods, forms, tools and conditions. The subject matter of the theory of education is, above all, various methods, trends and educational ideologies offering a number of theoretical models and ways of thinking about the educational process.

Teorie výchovy je jednou ze základních pedagogických disciplín, která se zabývá systematizací a uspořádáním věd o výchově, jejich cíli, metodami, formami, prostředky a podmínkami. Předmětem teorie výchovy jsou především různé teorie, směry a výchovné ideologie, poskytující řadu teoretických modelů a způsobů myšlení o výchovném procesu.

Requirements to the exam

Požadavky k plnění přemětu:
- 50 % účast ve výuce, monografie dle výběru
- seminární vystoupení včetně písemné formy na vybrané téma (idealismus a edukace, konzervatismus a edukace, esencialismus a edukace, islám a edukace apod.), Denní studium.
- teoretická reflexe pedagogického filmu, literatury, práce učitele apod. Součást ZK.

Požadavky ke zkoušce:
- Odborná esej dle zadání, reflexe odborné povinné literatury zadané ve výuce

Education is based on attaining concrete aims - its result should be gaining certain skills and knowledge. However, the course of education is at the same time markedly connected with the way through which we perceive the reality of the surrounding world. In the subject of theory of education we shall search the interconnection of education with its three basic theoretical pillars which pedagogy is based on: philosophy, ideology and theory.

Examples of possible themes:

• Philosophy and pedagogy (idealism and existentialism)

• Ideology and pedagogy (conservatism and liberalism)

• Theory and pedagogy (essentialism and progressivism)

• Critical theories in pedagogy, etc.

Edukace spočívá v dosahování konkrétních cílů - jeho výsledkem by mělo být získání jistých dovedností a vědomostí. Průběh edukace je ale současně výrazně spjatý se způsobem, kterým vnímáme realitu okolního světa. V předmětu teorie výchovy budeme hledat propojení edukace s jejími teoretickými východisky a současně propojení s třemi základními teoretickými pilíři, o které se pedagogika opírá: filosofie, ideologie a teorie.

• Filosofie a pedagogika (idealismus a existencialismis)

• Ideologie a pedagogika (konzervatismus a liberalismus)

• Teorie a pedagogika (esencialismus a progresivismus)
