Annotation -
This course focuses on goals and content of elementary science education with scientific literacy being the main focus. Also, the results of international tests (PISA and TIMSS) are analysed with respect to elementary science education. Thle last part of the course is dedicated to elementary science learning conception at elementary level in course participants' country.

Course assessment methods and requirements for successful completion, grading scheme

There are three parts which make up the final mark: student's participation, homeworks, final oral exam.

For every lesson, students receive a homework which contributes to the topic of the next lesson. The final exam is a procc section of all the topics of the course.
