The purpose of the course is to introduce students to the theory and practice of visual and media culture with regard to its application in teaching. The fields of visual and media studies are currently developing dynamically and are characterized by a number of interdisciplinary overlaps in terms of theoretical foundations and research topics. The main aim of the course is to lead students to the ability to independently produce didactic outputs using given principles and to teach them how to work with visual, media-mediated information and data with respect to current trends and issues. The lectures will focus on manifestations of visual and media culture such as theatre, film, photography and cartoons. Students will interpret individual sources during the seminar.
