Annotation

English

The aim of this course of applied linguistics is to provide a meaningful blend of the linguistic knowledge with the teaching process, primarily at upper-secondary school level. The core of the content comprises teaching the English grammar based on students’ linguistic studies of morphology and syntax (langue disciplines). Students will have the opportunity to work with English course-books, subject the method of presentation of grammatical and lexical categories in these to their critical judgement and suggest their own steps and model sentences so as to teach the grammar phenomena in a suitable, logical, systematic and rememberable way. Students are assumed to be able to analyze the acquisition of selected grammatical and lexical issues from the developmental (sequences of development, interlanguage, fossilisation) and contrastive perspective (theory of transfer, L1 impact on L2 acquisition).

Kurz aplikované lingvistiky pro učitele má za cíl smysluplné prolnutí poznatků z lingvistiky do procesu výuky, a to primárně na střední škole. Půjde o výuku anglického jazykové systému na pozadí lingvistických předmětů morfologie a syntax angličtiny (obecně všech languových disciplín). Studující budou mít možnost pracovat s učebnicemi anglického jazyka, kriticky posoudit metody prezentace gramatických a lexikálních kategorií v nich a navrhnout vlastní kroky i modelové věty, které by ve výuce použili tak, aby výuka gramatických a lexikálních jevů byla vhodně a logicky rozvržena systematicky a zapamatovatelným způsobem prezentována žákům. Očekává se, že studenti budou schopni posoudit příčiny chyb a navrhnout jejich reedukaci z pohledu vývojového (vývojové sekvence, mezijazyk, fosilizace) a kontrastivního (transfer, vliv mateřského jazyka). Součástí kurzu budou i praktické ukázky konkrétních vyučovacích technik.

Course completion requirements

Předmět je zakončen zápočtem. Studující mají povinnost aktivně se účastnit výuky (prezence min. 80 %), číst průběžně zadávané kapitoly ze sekundární literatury a připravovat si do výuky modelové věty/aktivity a komentáře k učebnicovým prezentacím gramatických kategorií podle sylabu a instrukcí vyučujícího.

Výstupem z kurzu je mini-portfolio, přesněji návrh a kritická analýza výuky tří zvolených gramatických/lexikálních jevů ve třídě s využitím lingvistických poznatků. Součástí hodnocení je i jazyková a formulační úroveň.
