The aim of the course is to develop the key language skills of students at the C1-C2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. It is the third of a three-term course. The learner works systematically with a coursebook and expands his/her practical skills in the fields of spoken performance, reading comprehension, listening and writing, all focused on accuracy and language complexity. The classroom material is to be analysed thoroughly; students are encouraged to form their attitudes and summarize the ideas. The vocabulary is enhanced systematically, including collocations, idioms and abstract terms. Grammar is presented to students as a system, including some of its less frequent features which occur in the texts. To support their knowledge, the students can be asked to study from other materials recommended by the lecturer.

Cílem předmětu je rozvoj jazykových dovedností studentů od úrovně C1-C2 Společného evropského referenčního rámce pro jazyky k úrovni C2. Jde o třetí semestr třísemestrálního kursu. Systematicky se pracuje s učebnicí a rozvíjejí se praktické dovednosti studentů v oblasti mluvního projevu, čtení s porozuměním, poslechu s porozuměním a psaní s důrazem na správnost, plynulost a komplexnost jazykového projevu. Texty a nahrávky jsou všestranně analyzovány; studenti jsou stimulováni k jasnému formulování názoru k jejich obsahu i k jejich sumarizaci. Systematicky se rozšiřuje slovní zásoba, a to včetně kolokací, idiomů, frázových sloves a abstraktních pojmů. Studenti jsou vedeni k chápání mluvnice jako systému a jejich znalosti v této oblasti se rozšiřují o méně frekventované jevy vyskytující se v probíraných textech. Základní učebnice je průběžně doplňována dalšími zdroji.

Předmět je zakončen zápočtem. Podmínkou pro udělení zápočtu je:
aktivní účast na výuce (prezence musí být 80 %)
úspěšné absolvování zápočtového testu, který sestává z: gramatického testu, lexikálního testu, komplexní opravy textu (proofreading), porozumění čtenému textu (reading comprehension), porozumění slyšenému textu (listening comprehension)
písemná práce (esejistického typu) odevzdaná v průběhu semestru
Test je možné opakovat jednou.
