This course focuses on ton teaching language skills (receptive, productive, and mediation) to young learners. It covers a wide range of topics, including theoretical understanding of the processes, techniques and principles behind EFL skills teaching as well as familiarising future teachers with practical implementation of language skills. Theoretical knowledge is further deepened and extended through team presentations focusing in detail on one of the skills. The students continue to develop their ability to plan, teach and reflect on English lessons throughout the semester.

1. Attendance (no more than 2 missed classes) 2. Required reading; completing all reading-related tasks 3. Observation of a lesson at school, creating and filling out an observation sheet (can be done in pairs) 4. Active participation in creating and delivering a team presentation on how to teach one of the skills. The presentation will be composed of a theoretical summary (10 - 15 minutes, correct use of English; please include the key points to remember plus additional information that you found in literature) and micro-teaching (15 – 20 minutes, correct use of English; a practical demonstration of putting theoretical principles into practice). 5. Adding four new activities (including aims and a plan for a reflection) into your portfolio (one activity per skill) 6. The exam takes the form of an oral interview. The candidate will be asked to prepare an activity on the spot, focusing on an assigned language skill, using an assigned section from a coursebook. Preparation time is 25 minutes. The candidate will then explain and defend the activity using theoretical knowledge. Correct use of English and coherent oral performance are necessary.
