Annotation -
The subject is focused on acquiring current expert knowledge in the field of logopedic diagnostics, therapy, educational approaches of speech and language disorders in the Czech Republic and abroad. Participants will be introduced to the views of our and foreign experts in etiology, diagnostics and therapy of neurodevelopmental disorders in children and neurological speech, language disorders in adults, speech fluency disorders, dysphagia in children and adults or myofunctional disorders, dyspraxia. The subject is further focused on the specifics of speech and language disorders.

Aim of the course -

Student

  • gain up-to-date professional knowledge in the field of speech therapy intervention in the Czech Republic and abroa
  • explain the use of the latest terminology based on ICD, revision 11,
  • new diagnostic and therapeutic methods, procedures in the field of impaired communication ability are introduced.

Syllabus -

·         Neurodevelopmental disorders and developmental speech and language disorders.

·         Diagnostics of language development, current diagnostic and therapeutic methods and techniques.

·         Speech fluency disorders - balbuties and tumultus sermonis - current views on etiology, symptomatology, diagnostics, therapy and differential diagnostics.

·         Dysphagia and possible therapeutic approaches.

·         Neurological speech and language disorders acquired in adulthood or in old age, diagnostics and therapy of aphasia, diagnostics and therapy dysarthria, current diagnostic and therapeutic methods.

·         Verbal dyspraxia.

·         Education of children and pupils with developmental language disorders.

·         Speech therapy for individuals with physical or sensory disabilities.

Studující

  • vysvětlí pojetí neurovývojových poruch vývoje jazyka,
  • charakterizuje postupy diferenciální diagnostiky neurovývojových poruch jazyka a řeči,
  • objasní podstatu získaných neurogenních poruch komunikace,
  • navrhne metody, které se použijí při logopedické intervenci u poruch fluence řeči,
  • uvede příklady logopedické intervence u neurovývojových poruch vývoje jazyka a získaných poruch komunikace v zahraničí.
