The methodology of teaching ceramics is designed in blocks of lessons. Students will get acquainted with the basic ways of creating ceramics that can be used when working with children. Seminar focus: acquisition of basic knowledge of technological procedures in modelling and working with a clay plate. The course aims to acquaint students with the basics of ceramic crafts, to get acquainted with the aids and methods of use. Use of gypsum as auxiliary material in ceramics, production of a simple gypsum mould. Mould forming, product retouching. Students will learn to operate the furnace, they will get acquainted with the types of firing. They will try basic decorating techniques on their products - the use of metal oxides, engobes and glazes. The content of the seminar is to get acquainted with the topic of the assignment. Students work on the task individually. Study of structures, inspired by nature, the art of natural nations. Study of three selected structures. Structure processing: photo, black and white design, colour design. Any design processing technique. Choose one variant, style and transform it into a plastic form: model a square relief. Production of plaster mould, reproduction of the shape in any quantity. Compilation of the final form of the composition. Decorating with oxides, engobes and glazes. Glass applications. Introduction to furnace operation. Students are acquainted with a practical example of unusual decorating techniques: smoking ceramics, painting with cobalt on a fired glaze.

Metodika výuky keramiky je koncipována v blocích hodin. Studenti se seznámí se základními způsoby vytváření keramiky, které mohou uplatnit při práci s dětmi.
Zaměření semináře: osvojení základních znalostí technologických postupů při modelování a při práci s plátem hlíny. Cílem kurzu je přiblížit studentům základy keramického řemesla, seznámit se s pomůckami a způsoby použití.
Využití sádry jako pomocného materiálu v keramice, výroba jednoduché sádrové formy. Formování do forem, retušování výrobků. Studenti se naučí obsluhovat pec, seznámí se s druhy výpalu. Na vlastních výrobcích si zkusí základní techniky dekorování – použití oxidů kovů, engob a glazur.
Obsah semináře je seznámení se s tématem zadání. Studenti pracují na úkolu individuálně. Studie struktur, inspirace přírodou, uměním přírodních národů. Nastudování tří zvolených struktur. Zpracování struktury: foto, černobílý návrh, barevný návrh. Technika zpracování návrhu libovolná. Zvolit jednu variantu, stylizovat a převést do plastické podoby: vymodelovat reliéf čtvercového tvaru.
Výroba sádrové formy, reprodukce tvaru v libovolném množství. Sestavení finální podoby kompozice.
Dekorování oxidy, engobami a glazurami. Aplikace skla. Seznámení s obsluhou pece.
Studenti jsou praktickou ukázkou seznámeni s neobvyklými technikami dekorování: zakuřování keramiky, malování kobaltem na vypálenou glazuru.
