Annotation -
The course is for students who plan to write their thesis in the field of education. The course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to write their bachelor's thesis. Attention will be paid to the ethics of writing theses. Students will get familiar with different approaches of working with academic texts and basic research methods. They will also create a plan of their bachelor's thesis.

Aim of the course -

The aim of the course is to prepare students for writing their bachelor's thesis.

By the end of the course the students will create and present a plan of their bachelor's thesis, which will be composed of the topic of their thesis, study aims, research methodology, time schedule, and relevant literature.

1. Ethics of writing theses. Relevant regulations.

2. Types of bachelor's theses, structure of a bachelor's thesis, topic of the thesis.

3. Formulation of aims and research questions.

4. Theoretical part of a thesis, searching relevant literature.

5. Citations and citation styles, software CitacePRO.

6. Empirical part of a thesis, approaches to data collection.

7. The principles of qualitative and quantitative data analysis.

8. Data interpretation. Discussion.

9. Introduction and conclusion of a thesis. Formal requirements.

10. Defense of a bachelor's thesis.
