This course mainly intends to lead the students towards reading books for children and young adults and employing in ESL classes. While trying to answer the question concerning the origins and qualities typical of literary works classified as English-written children’s literature, the course introduces history and individual genres of children’s literature written in English through a number of various activities, games and plays.

a) attendance: max. 2 absences are allowed b) active participation within the seminars c) preparation for the individual classes, reading of the assigned materials, task completion etc. d) language skills are part of the overall assessment.
