The course focuses on the issues of teacher ‘s communication with parents, preschool management, but also the public and children themselves, about the process and product of children's art work. It helps students appreciate the importance of parents and other people's interest in the process and product of children's art work. It introduces students to the principles of presentation of work in traditional and new media, discusses media and forms of presentation.
Thematic plan:
• Introduction of questions related to the presentation of children’s artwork
• Chosen principles of professional artwork presentation – examples
• Relationship between children’s work and an adult’s work
• A functional vocabulary of the teacher in relation to the presentation of children’s artwork
• Visual communication in pre-school
• Basic typographic principles
• Basic principles of work with colored area
• The physical vs. virtual presentation of children’s work
• Notice board – tool of presentation and evaluation
• Portfolio – tool of presentation and evaluation
• Presentation of work in non-traditional art media
• Conference and professional platforms of the presentation
