The course defines the interpretation of forms of social deviance in the broader context. It brings forward ethopedic issues. Classical biological, psychological and sociological theories of deviant behaviour are described and analysed during the course. The emphasis is on the integrative and interdisciplinary approach to the problem of social deviations. Conceptual, theoretical and methodological issues associated with the study of social deviance are discussed. Basic terms related to social deviancy are defined as part of the course, including normality and its types. Also, objectives and causes of deviant behaviour are presented and discussed. The course also includes the analysis of selected manifestations of deviant behaviour.

Předmět vymezuje pojetí sociálních deviací v širokém kontextu. Nastoluje problémy etopedické. V rámci kurzu jsou popisovány a analyzovány klasické biologické, psychologické a sociologické teorie deviantního chování. Důraz je kladen na integrativní a interdisciplinární přístup k problematice sociálních deviací. Jsou diskutovány konceptuální, teoretické a metodologické problémy studia sociálních deviací. V rámci předmětu jsou definovány základní pojmy vztahující se k problematice sociálních deviací, včetně normality a jejích typů. V rámci kurzu jsou prezentovány a diskutovány cíle a příčiny deviantního chování. Součástí předmětu je analýza vybraných projevů deviantního chování.

Aim of the course -
The aim of the course is to provide students with basic insight to the development and current state of theoretical knowledge in the field of social deviance. The course gives the outline of the most important theories concerning social deviance. It describes functions of social deviations and points out value aspects of deviant behaviour. Also, it helps detect and analyse causes of selected manifestations of deviant behaviour.

Cílem předmětu je poskytnout základní vhled do vývoje a současného stavu teoretického poznání v oblasti sociálních deviací, podat přehled nejvýznamnějších teorií sociálních deviací, popsat funkce sociálních deviací, zdůraznit hodnotové aspekty deviantního chování, detekovat a analyzovat příčiny vybraných projevů deviantního chování.

Docházka (minimálně 80% - nezávisle na tom, zda je někdo nemocný či není) a aktivní účast v rámci výuky. Prezentování a odevzdání seminární práce a její úspěšné obhájení v rámci rozpravy. Prostudovaná literatura, která bude zadána při výuce. Úspěšné absolvování písemného testu.

Sociální deviace a pojmy obsahově blízké. Vymezení a druhy normality. Definiční znaky sociální deviace. Sociální a nesociální deviace. Normativní a reaktivní koncepce sociální deviace.
