Course aim: Students are provided with the basic methods of scientific research when working on Russian language
teaching topics, they learn about the structure of a diploma thesis and/or another research paper (explaining the choice of
the topic, the formulation of aims, hypotheses, the description of the chosen methodology). Students learn about different
ways of the presentation of the results of their professional and scientific research.
Course contents: The characteristics of the basic methods of scientific research when working on Russian language
teaching topics ? historical method, the study of sources, analytico-synthetic method, methods of acquiring research data
(questionnaire, survey, controlled observation, standard and non-standard tests, the analysis of the results of pupils? work,
the method of event research, personal pupils? portfolio, error analysis), the processing of the research data ? quantitative
and qualitative analyses of the research data.
