Students learn about the possibilities of using the internet, language programs, television, public press in Russian foreign language teaching. Students are given information about the most important web pages and portals, language programs, available newspapers and TV stations. They learn about different techniques of the practical use of these media as a source of information and materials for a Russian foreign language teacher. Course contents: The most important Russian search engines and web portals. Searching for specific web pages with needed information. The question of trustworthiness of information available on the internet. How to work with language programs and other software useful for Russian foreign language teaching. Russian televisions and public press as important elements of motivation in Russian foreign language teaching. Pros and cons of media in foreign language teaching. The methodology of work with media in Russian foreign language teaching.
