Annotation -
The course reflects main streams of national politics of drug abuse prevention. It provides an insight into current drug situation in the Czech Republic as well as in other countries including valid legislation. The course includes description of individual drugs, analysis of drug abuse risks, factors promoting drug abuse, symptoms of drug addiction and cure possibilities. Moreover, basic forms of prevention and timely intervention are presented with special focus on school prevention programs.

Aim of the course -

The aim of the course is to provide of students informations in the field of prevention, treatment and research of drugse and other forms of potentially addictive behavior and their impact on individuals and on society and social reintegration of persons who due to such forms of behavior are suffering.
