The subject focuses on selected themes from social gerontology with particular accent on pedagogical aspects of this problematics. Attention is given to the status of senior citizens in contemporary society, to the upbringing towards intergenerational understanding as well as to questions of preparation for becoming senior. Factors that influence quality of life and health of seniors in out population are closely analyzed.

Požadavky k zápočtu: aktivní účast na prezenční části výuky a vypracování samostatného úkolu (studenti uskuteční strukturované interview s vybraným respondentem a podle poskytnutého návodu provedou jeho základní analýzu, zápočet bude udělen na základě následné odborné rozpravy nad touto analýzou).
