The course deals with a comprehensive analysis of texts as for their grammatical and functional properties. Students are expected to apply and stabilize their knowledge acquired during their BA studies.

Aim of the course -

Goals of the course:

Students intergate grammatical, stylistic and functional knowledge of Czech acquired during their BA studies.

Students stabilizes and improves grammatical, stylistic and functional knowledge of Czech acquired during their BA studies.

Students amplifies their linguistic knowledge.

Students acquire an overview of application of linguistic disciplines taught at diferent levels of education.

Studující stabilizuje a rozšiřuje znalosti gramatické, funkční a stylistické analýzy, získaných v bakalářském studiu. 

Studující získá nadhled, který umožní pracovat s lingvistickými znalostmi na různých stupních výuky českého jazyka.

The course aims at application, improvement and amplification of students´ knowledge of both the grammar, functional and stylistic analysis of texts acquired during their BA studies.

In order to complete the course, students are expected to take active part in the classes (with the knowledge of the scholarly literature items assigned to them) as well as to successfully pass an examination test.

Requirements to the exam -

In order to complete the course, students need to pass a written test. The test will require a comprehensive analysis of a text concerning the topics dealt with during the semester. The test will consist of 7 assignments/problems (7 points). The necessary minimum number of points is 5.

Learning outcomes -

Outcome of the course:

Students distinguish individual domains of communication and their main functions. 

Students distinguish methods and means of expression aiming at functions of texts. 

Students analyze and classifiy morphological nad syntactic phenomena in various types of texts.

Students analyze and modify information structure of texts. 

Students compare various texts from the viewpoint of their manipulativeness.
