Annotation

English

In this course it is systematically worked with the texbook Speakout 3rd Edition published by Pearson to develop students´ oral, listening, reading and writing skills as well as grammar and vocabulary. The overall aim is to help students become more confident and fluent users of the English language. The course is offered in two language levels, weak and strong pre-intermediate.

Jedná se o druhý semestr pětisemestrálního kurzu. Systematicky se pracuje s učebnicí Speakout 3rd Edition od Pearson a rozvíjejí se řečové dovednosti studentů, a to v oblasti mluvního projevu, čtení s porozuměním, poslechu s porozuměním a psaní s rostoucím důrazem na správnost, plynulost a komplexnost jazykového projevu. Texty a nahrávky jsou všestranně využívány; studenti jsou stimulováni k jasnému formulování názoru k jejich obsahu. Systematicky se rozšiřuje slovní zásoba zejména o kolokace, idiomy, frázová slovesa a abstraktní pojmy. Studenti jsou vedeni k chápání mluvnice jako systému a jejich znalosti v této oblasti se rozšiřují o jevy vyskytující se v probíraných textech. Kurz je nabízen ve dvou jazykových úrovních - mírně a středně pokročilí.

Aim of the course

The aim of the course is to develop students´ communicative competence and improve their anticipated laguage level (from A1/A2 to A1+/A2+ for the lower level and to B1 for the higher language level).
