During the semester, students will visit various educational institutions: a lower-secondary school and different types of upper-secondary schools, where they will become familiar with the real conditions of teaching practice. During school visits and classroom observations, students will make written records of the course of the practice. The practice is concluded with a reflective seminar.
Students will be informed about the details of the practice and specific methodological instructions before it begins. Information about the specific conditions can be obtained from the course guarantor or the teacher of the parallel group.
The aim of this course is to support students’ interest in teaching professions and to motivate them to continue their education, including progression to a master’s degree programme focused on the preparation of teachers of general education subjects at lower-secondary and upper-secondary schools.
Students will visit three different educational institutions. In their seminar paper, they will describe these institutions, compare them, and provide an independent reflection on the purpose and content of their activities.
