Aim of the course -
  • Introduce students to the basics of specific, conditioning, sports, and non-traditional motor activities and games.
  • Teach students to practically apply various motor activities and games in physical education lessons.
  • Provide students with knowledge and skills in grappling games and preparatory grappling exercises.
  • Familiarize students with sport climbing on artificial walls, bouldering, and outdoor activities.
  • Prepare students to integrate these activities into physical education, with a focus on safety and the development of motor skills.

Syllabus -

Physical and sports activities and games, including their modifications.

  1. Sports and non-traditional sports games.

  2. Climbing on an wall, technique, tactics, games on the climbing wall, tying basic knots, tying into the rope, theory, belaying and self-belaying techniques, abseiling, safety principles.

  3. Training disciplines in the rope course.

  4. Outdoor activities in different seasons, for various age and performance categories.

  5. Specifics of teaching in school and extracurricular physical education, safety principles. Rules for staying in nature, nature conservation.

  6. Basic grappling, preparatory grappling, grappling games, basics of self-defense, methodological and organizational aspects of training, didactics of grappling, and safety principles.

Learning outcomes -
  • Students will explain and demonstrate the basics of specific and non-traditional motor activities and their use in school physical education.
  • Students will apply grappling games and preparatory grappling exercises in practice and propose their integration into physical education lessons.
  • Students will demonstrate basic techniques of sport climbing on artificial walls and bouldering, with an emphasis on safety and teaching methodology.
  • Students will organize and conduct simple outdoor activities and incorporate them into physical education classes.
  • Students will analyze the possibilities of using non-traditional motor activities and games to develop physical fitness and social skills in pupils.
  • Students will propose and justify safety rules and methodological procedures for conducting sport climbing and outdoor activities in the school environment.
