Annotation -

Professional excursion The character of the professional excursion is professional, motivational and socializational. From the professional point of view this excursion continues the completed subjects (e.g. history of pedagogy, inter-cultural education, special and pedagogy) which suitably and practically completes and develops. During the excursion also practical tutorials are included. It is also possible to speak about the motivation function which cultivates the attitudes and interest of students, their professional specialisation. At the same time, the professional excursion is an informal meeting of students with the staff of the department of pedagogy. The proposal of feasible variants of aims: sitting in on classes at selected alternative schools, at schools for training pupils having specific needs, in ecological centres and other institutions for free time. Visits to pedagogical museums and places connected with the history of education.

Aim of the course -

Practically to enlarge the theoretical knowledge of the educational disciplines of the bachelor study in the field of pedagogy with a strong motivation accent on professions in which the graduates of this study may assert their knowledge.

The professional excursion is oriented to a selected region of the Czech Republic or to a foreign country.

An example of the programme in the region of East Bohemia:

Places which are connected with the life and activities of Jan Amos Komenský (Comenius) - (Branná, Bílá Třemešná, Vlčice, Kunvaald, Brandýs nad Orlicí etc.).

Environmental educational establishment Sever in the Krkonoše (Giant) Mountains.

Secondary vocational school for future glass workers

Waldorf alternative school in the town of Semily

etc.
