Annotation -

Students will be acquainted with the issue of communication and communication disorders. The basic concepts of speech therapy will be explained (the subject of science and study, the historical and current speech therapy provision in the educational and health care systems). Students will be also acquainted with kinds and categories of communication disorders, speech development and its pathology.

Ontogenesis of speech and language, speech development pathology, developmental speech and language disorder, delayed speech and language development, speech development in individuals with intellectual disability, specific language impairment. Phonetic and phonological disorders and possible approaches to children with articulation disorders.
