The aim of this course is to present selected literary-theoretical schools, trends, categories and notions from the second half of the 20th century to the present, particularly Structuralist, Psychoanalytical, Reader-response, Marxist and Feminist literary theories so as to be able to deal with Post-structuralist and Post-modernist literary theories. The focus is always placed on the most significant representatives of these schools. The priciples and practices of these schools are demonstrated both on their representatives' text and on selected works of English-written literature.
