Introduction into the didactics of the English language I is a theoretical and practical course whose main aim is to get students acquainted with key concepts from the area of subject didactics. Within its framework the term subject didactics as well as the most important factors of the teaching process will be introduced. Students will also get familiar wit the aims and contents of teaching English as a foreign language. Attention will also be paid to the two most important actors of the teaching process: the learner and the teacher. Topics: 1 factors of the teaching process 2 aims and subject matter of teaching English, intercultural communicative competency 3 the teacher 4 the learnerer 5 class management, providing feedback, giving instructions, presentation, eliciting, activity and its running 6 lesson planning, professional portfolio
