Student defines comparative education as a dicipline. Student characterizes the phases of historical development of comparative education and its selected representatives. Student characterizes the ISCED classification and its levels and explains its use in international comparisons. Student describes key organizations and institutions focused on comparative education. Student characterizes international large-scale assessment studies in education (PISA, TIMSS, TALIS, PIRLS, ICILS) and compares them in terms of their basic characteristics (focus, partipants etc.).
