The project focuses on developing drawing skills and thinking in drawing in the context of contemporary art. Emphasis is placed not only on the visual aspect of drawing but also on conceptual thinking and the relationship between the student's individual subject and the possibilities of its representation. During the semester, the student works independently on his/her original project, which is continuously consulted with the instructor. Consultations help to seek sources of inspiration, to explore the possibilities of the drawing medium in its full range of expressive means, to place the student's work in a broader context, and to maintain some logical structure to the project. Basic drawing skills and the ability to create in other media are prerequisites for the course. Suitable for art and art education students only.
