Annotation -
The aim of this course is complex students` preparation for managing practical use of Russian language. The preparation is based on general language skills acquiring and it covers the topics provided below. Within this course Russian culture knowledge is being developed drawing the comparison between Russian and Czech culture. The sociocultural competence and intercultural competence are systematically formed during this course.

- develop their factual knowledge of Russian realities compared to Czech.

Course completion requirements

Active participation in the seminar (at least 75%), completion of written and oral assignments, completion of intermediate tests at least 70%. Each test has 1 regular and 1 make-up date. Preparation and implementation of a presentation on the assigned topic.

Learning outcomes

Studentes
- communicate in communicative situations according to the syllabus (business, services, hospital, pharmacy, emergency room...) at B2 level, realize effectively and adequately his/her communicative intentions,

- correctly uss linguistic resources belonging to level B2,

- discuss types of housing in the RF and compare them with the situation in the Czech Republic,

- describe in detail a house or apartment, including its furnishings,

- discuss shopping options, explaining their advantages and disadvantages,

- list and describe the types of services, explain their specifics in the RF,

- discuss clothing and fashion,

- describe Russian folk costume,

- discuss the topic of health, civilisation diseases and healthy lifestyle.
