The integration of non-linguistic subjects and foreign language (CLIL), here teaching mathematics in a foreign language for primary school, is a course that seeks to broaden the skills of future teachers by those specific to this way of teaching. CLIL is a broad term that refers to the teaching of a non-language general education subject through a foreign language (e.g. mathematics in English). Teaching has two objectives, one related to the relevant mathematical content, the other related to the foreign language. Innovative contexts are chosen for the mathematical content, which lead to a good understanding of mathematical concepts by primary school learners.
