Annotation -
The subject is focused on acquiring current expert knowledge in the field of diagnostics, therapy and educational approaches of speech and language disorders in the Czech Republic and abroad. Participants will be introduced to the views of our and foreign experts in etiology, diagnostics and therapy of neurodevelopmental disorders in children and neurological speech and language disorders in adults, speech fluency disorders, dysphagia in children and adults or myofunctional disorders. The subject is further focused on the specifics of speech and language disorders.

Syllabus -

·         Neurodevelopmental disorders and developmental speech and language disorders.

·         Diagnostics of language development, current diagnostic and therapeutic methods and techniques.

·         Speech fluency disorders - balbuties and tumultus sermonis - current views on etiology, symptomatology, diagnostics, therapy and differential diagnostics.

·         Dysphagia and possible therapeutic approaches.

·         Neurological speech and language disorders acquired in adulthood or in old age, diagnostics and therapy of aphasia and dysarthria, current diagnostic and therapeutic methods and techniques.

·         Dyspraxia.

·         Education of children and pupils with developmental language disorders.

·         Speech therapy for individuals with physical or sensory disabilities.
