Propedeutics of surdopedics (SP) - special education of person with hearing disorders. Conception and definition, position within science system, methods and aims, social significancy of surdopedics. Pathology of acoustic analyzer. Importance of hearing and hearing background. Prevalence and causations of hearing disorders. Pathology of hearing function in peripheral and central zones. Classification of hearing disorders. Symptomatology of hearing disorders (deafness, heearing loss) from the viewpoint of international classification and terminology. Pedagogical diagnosis of hearing disability. Diagnosis and differential diagnosis of hearing disorders. Investigation of hearing of children and adults. Hearing test of a child: reflective tests, child´s tonal audiometry, child´s speech audiometry, surdopedics screening. Classical hearing tests: orientation hearing-speech test, Weber-, Rinne-, Schwabach tests, hearing test by murmurs and music instruments, audiometry by clean tones, speech autiometry, testing of central hearing disorders, ERA, BERA, CERA. Objective and subjective hearing testing. Results of hearing disorders. Prevention of hearing disorders and hearing defectivness. The Program of Guided Reflection is a part of these classes.
