Attainment targets:
To be able to analyse main concepts of good gallery education practice and to respect plurality of interpretations in cultural contexts, reflecting up on multiple functions of an image in contemporary culture. Designing an educational model for a particular cultural artefact, designing and editing of educative materials for the gallery and museum of art.

Visual sign, symbol, symbolic systém, visual text, context. Narrativity, myth, discourse, gender, subject. Museum of Art, gallery, educational and educative programme. RVP educational framework.

Theory:
Contemporary museums and galleries viewed as media of communication. Gallry education in the context of contemporary pedagogical theories including theory of art education. Notion of discursive layers influencing understanding of artworks. Meaning making: meaning of visual sign in the contexts of culture, history of art, society and gender. Image as a text, its cultural coding, visual/pictorial discourse and cultural institutions.
