Annotation -

Course offers further development of printmaking skills, deeper introduction into materials, procedures and techniques of printmaking. Etudes and experimentations in basic printmaking techniques and applied techniques are the basis of the course. Self-contained and thematically connected series of prints in different techniques should be the outcome of the course.

Aims: To teach students basic technological procedures of making matrixes and prints. Specifics of the graphic ?language". Concepts and possibilities of a form. History of printmaking and today's state.

Syllabus -

Sylabus:Working on a set of black-and-white and color prints. Mastering different techniques in logically connected sets. Importance of drawing as a predecessor of printmaking. Studying connections of graphic art in the history and today. Theoretical studies of the work of chosen graphic authorities. The role of experiments and other disciplines for presenting prints.
Key words: Matrix, printmaking, set, history of printmaking and today.
