Annotation -
The seminar is devoted to the role of Czech language in history of Czech language education in the 19th and especially 20th century. It explains how the function and position of Czech language in the area of education were influenced by changing historical context. The topic is explained in a complex way, as a socio-cultural phenomenon, which was (besides scientific factors) determined by school and language policy during its development.
