Course requirements: regular attendance, active participation, and production of an essay (1000 words). This course focuses on 20th century British fiction and drama from 1900 to the 1980s. The seminars are organized on the basis of analysis, understanding and evaluation of a selection of texts which are not included in the 20th century British Literature syllabus. Students are also provided essential historical, social, political and cultural context of the selected texts. The key authors are Shaw, Forster, Woolf, Huxley, Orwell, Beckett, Kingsley Amis, Golding, Murdoch, Pinter, Lodge, Carter, Martin Amis, Winterson, Ishiguro, Stoppard and Barnes.

Tento kurz se zaměřuje na britskou prózu a drama od počátku do 80. let 20.století. Semináře jsou organizovány na základě analýzy, pochopení a interpretace vybraných textů, které nejsou zahrnuty v sylabu kurzu Britská literatura 20.století. Klíčovými autory jsou G.B. Shaw, E.M. Distanční výuka tohoto předmětu bude realizována kombinací

- online výuky v rozsahu minimálně 50% rozvrhované přímé výuky

- domácí příprava na základě elektronicky zaslaných výukových materiálů

- odevzdání úkolů k samostatnému vypracování s poskytnutou zpětnou vazbou

 

Online výuka bude mít následující podobu:

- interaktivní online semináře v délce 90 minut, které se budou konat vybraná pondělí od 9:50

- konkrétní data online seminářů budou včas oznámeny emailem či na předchozím semináři

- ZOOM platforma online seminářů (linky na jednotlivé semináře budou posílány emailem)
