The aim of the course is to introduce the German language in its continuous development, to inform about the reasons for changes in language, to characterize individual developmental stages in more detail, and to understand the present stage of language as the outcome of hundred-year development of language, understand trends in present language as reasons for future development. Language development is seen with the constant aspect of the development of the society as one of the conditions of language development. Language is characterized in all language plans.
