The aima of the seminar are to:
1. give students some insight into children's literature with respect to different literary types and genres, with the concentration on recent texts;
2. offer an interpretation of selected children's literature with educational accents, including the creation of their own questions, tasks and ideas for activities and their reflection.
Active participation in seminars is expected.

Seminář si klade dva následující cíle:
1. dát studentům jistý přehled o dětské literatuře s ohledem na různé literární druhy a žánry, nenechávaje stranou texty z poslední doby
2. nabídnout interpretaci vybraných textů dětské literatury se vzdělávacími akcenty včetně tvorby vlastních otázek, úkolů a námětů k činnostem a jejich reflexe.
Očekává se aktivní účast na seminářích.

Course completion requirements -
Credit: attendance with two possible absences. Exam: on the basis of a list of forty books in the field of children's literature, the teacher selects one title, which the student then describes in detail in writing from the perspective of the child reader.

Zápočet: docházka s dvěma možnými absencemi.
Zkouška: na základě seznamu čtyřiceti přečtených knih z oblasti dětské literatury vyučující vybere jeden titul, který student následně podrobně písemně charakterizuje z hlediska dětského čtenáře
