The students learn to evaluate English language teaching materials, use them effectively, adapt them to their learners' needs, and create their own. During the whole semester, they collaborate on detailed analysis and evaluation of several coursebooks that are used at Czech primary schools, and based on their findings they present one of the coursebooks in groups, including specific suggestions for working with it, practical samples of how it can be adapted, and a demonstration of supplementing it by self-developed materials.
