The course is intended for the first-year bachelor students at MFF, especially in computer science. Basic computer tasks related to princiles of computer systems are exercised, which are later exploited in other computer science courses at the faculty. Clear understanding of computer functionality in clear relations is emphasized.

Each lab opens with a short points test with exercises from the past lab, 50% points for course credit.

Given that an essential course credit requirement is systematic work during the semester, retakes are not possible.
