The aim of the course is to introduce the current exploitation of XML technologies in practice, the methods for their efficient implementation, and the current and anticipated trends in XML (and related or follow-up) technologies. There are two main mottos of the lecture - "what we did not manage to discuss in the introductory course" and "what is currently being dealt with". In the latter case, the primary inspiration for the course will be the XML Prague conference, which has become one of the main platforms for discussions of the current trends in XML (and related) technologies.

Cílem přednášky je seznámit studenty s aktuálním využitím XML technologií v praxi, způsoby jejich efektivní implementace, jejich aktuálním i předpokládaným směřování a to včetně technologií souvisejících a navazujících. Hlavní motta přednášky jsou dvě – “co se do úvodního kurzu nevešlo” a “co se aktuálně řeší”. Ve druhém případě bude primární inspirací kurzu konference XML Prague, která se stala jednou z hlavních platforem právě pro diskuse v oblasti aktuálních trendů v oblasti (nejen) XML technologií. Poznámka: Kurz bude otevřen vždy jednou za 2 roky.
