This course will introduce students to the world of animation (basic
terminology, principles and workflows). It will focus on the brief history,
animation techniques and production processes. The goal is to get familiar
with the nature and character of this type of creative work, from the end
users, i.e. animators, authors, artists, etc. perspective. During the
course, students will also work on several practical exercises.

Introduction to animation techniques Animation production pipeline and its practical aspects Essential animation principles (timing and spacing). Brief introduction to 12 principles of animation and their historical context. Historical and technological look at 3D CGI animation, i.e. puppets on drugs.
