Course completion requirements -

The course ends with a written test, which can be supplemented with an oral exam if necessary. The test consists of three questions, each question must be answered at least well to pass. The student has three attempts to write the test. Attendance at lectures is not required.

Requirements to the exam -

The exam takes place in writing in one regular and two correction dates. The questions in the test correspond to the syllabus taught in the given semester. The emphasis is on an overall overview and understanding of the context, not on detailed information such as exact names of historical works or dates.

Syllabus -

The beginnings of geometry and (especially orthographic) projection, linear perspective during the Renaissance, origin and development of orthogonal axonometry. The birth of descriptive geometry as an independent discipline; Gaspard Monge, his predecessors and contemporaries. The development of descriptive geometry in the 19th century in Europe; Czech school of geometry. Descriptive geometry teaching in our lands. Important persons of the Czech descriptive geometry and their work. Skuhersky's method, isophotes, Sobotka's constructions. History of 'maturita' exams in descriptive geometry, preparing and examination of descriptive geometry pre-service teachers.
