Reaction-diffusion systems of activator-inhibitor type. Destabilizing effect of diffusion, domains of stability and instability. Bifurcation of stationary spatially non-homogeneous solutions (spatial patterns). Application - pigmentation of mammalians, models of angiogenesis playing (between others) a role in the study of tumors. Last update: T_KMA (26.04.2013)
