1. Základní pojmy
Lagrangeovský a Eulerovský popis pohybu tekutiny, trajektorie a proudnice, proudová funkce a rychlostní potenciál, dokonalá a viskozní tekutina, barotropní a baroklinní tekutina, konvergentní (divergentní) a konfluentní (difluentní) proudění.
2. Uzavřená soustava hydrodynamických rovnic
Pohybové rovnice, rovnice kontinuity, 1. hlavní věta termodynamická, stavová rovnice, tvar těchto rovnic v různých souřadnicových soustavách. Počáteční a okrajové podmínky.
3. Analýza hydrodynamických rovnic a jejich zjednodušení
Odhad velikosti členů hydrodynamických rovnic, Rossbyho číslo, Ekmanovo číslo, speciální typy proudění (geostrofické, gradientové, cyklostrofické, inerční, antitriptické proudění), tekutina v hydrostatické rovnováze, Boussinesquova aproximace, nestlačitelná tekutina.
