Aim of the course -

The main objective of the subject is to introduce the interactions and feedbacks in the system of atmosphere and ocean. The subject provides deeper insight in atmosphere - ocean dynamics.

Thermodynamic system in the atmosphere and ocean, composition, characteristics, equation of state for atmosphere and ocean.

Mean state of ocean parameters, temperature, density, salinity, their consequences for ocean circulation.

Dynamics of motion in the ocean, oceanic circulation.

Interactions of ocean and atmosphere, consequencies in circulation regimes.

Ocean-atmosphere heat engine.
