The lecture contains the physical and mathematical formulation of contemporary prediction models in meteorology it means the hydrostatic and non hydrostatic baroclinic models and their numerical solution used of computers.

Contents of study: selection and preparation of data for model, control of observed data, principles of objective analyze by assimilation of data, method of optimal interpolation, initialization of starting data, energetic and consistency of the model, properties of systems of physical conserving laws, formulation of initial problem and boundary conditions, results of models and their representation in graphical form.
